Einladung zum Pflanzenzüchtungs-Symposium – Invitation to the Plant Breeding Symposium 2027 [01.09.26]

Liebe Humboldt reloaded Studierende,
die Humboldt reloaded Jahrestagung rückt näher und auch darüber hinaus haben wir großes Interesse an euren Projekten und Ergebnissen.
Wir, die aktuellen Doktorand:innen der Universität Hohenheim im Bereich Pflanzenzüchtung, möchten euch herzlich zu unserem Symposium im Februar 2027 einladen.
Im Rahmen des Symposiums möchten wir einer Person von euch die Möglichkeit geben, das eigene Projekt in einer Posterpräsentation vorzustellen.

Das Pflanzenzüchtungssymposium ist eine Konferenz ähnlich zur Humboldt reloaded Jahrestagung. Allerdings richtet sich das Symposium nicht explizit an Studierende, sondern Wissenschaftler:innen allgemein. Besonders an diesem Symposium ist, dass es auch sehr viele Teilnehmende aus der Wirtschaft gibt (beispielsweise sind Corteva und KWS die Sponsorinnen).
Wir denken, dass dieses Symposium interessant für euch sein könnte:
- Da das Symposium in Hohenheim stattfindet, ist es eine tolle, niederschwellige Möglichkeit weiter in die Welt der Wissenschaft hineinzuschnuppern.
- Insbesondere im Bereich Pflanzenzüchtung werdet ihr spannende Vorträge aus Wissenschaft und Praxis hören. Dieses Mal mit einem besonderen Fokus auf einem sehr wichtigen Thema, dem Klimawandel.
- Ihr werdet viele Kontaktmöglichkeiten zu Mitarbeitenden aus Hohenheim / anderen Universitäten und Instituten / der Wirtschaft haben. Das kann insbesondere für Abschlussarbeiten und Praktika interessant sein.
Aber auch wir haben großes Interesse daran, euch bei diesem Symposium begrüßen zu dürfen:
- Die Universität Hohenheim ist weltweit bekannt für herausragende Forschung, vor allem im Bereich Pflanzenzüchtung. Ihr, als Humboldt Reloaded Studierende, forscht am Puls der Zeit und formt damit zukünftige Erkenntnisse und Entscheidungen. Auch ein Großteil der Symposiumsteilnehmenden sind ehemalige Hohenheim Studierende. Wir sind daher sehr am allgemeinen Austausch interessiert.
- Darüber hinaus sind wir insbesondere an euren Humboldt Reloaded Projekten im Bereich Pflanzenzüchtung und Klimawandel interessiert. Wir möchten daher ein herausragendes Projekt zu einer Poster Präsentation auf unserem Symposium einladen. Dazu motivieren wir euch uns euren Abstract / fertiges Poster einzureichen. Zudem werden wir auf eurer Humboldt Reloaded Jahrestagung vor Ort sein und uns freuen, mit euch ins Gespräch zu kommen.

The Humboldt reloaded Annual Conference is approaching, and beyond that, we are also very interested in your projects and results.
We, the current PhD students at the University of Hohenheim working in the field of plant breeding, would like to warmly invite you to our symposium in February 2027.
As part of the symposium, we would like to give one of you the opportunity to present your project in a poster presentation.

The Plant Breeding Symposium is a conference similar to the Humboldt reloaded Annual Conference. However, the symposium is not specifically aimed at students, but at researchers more broadly. What makes this symposium particularly interesting is that it also attracts many participants from industry (for example, Corteva and KWS are sponsors).
We think that this symposium could be interesting for you:
- Since the symposium takes place in Hohenheim, it is a great and accessible opportunity to get a first insight into the world of academic research.
- In particular, you will hear interesting talks from both academia and industry in the field of plant breeding. This year, there will be a particular focus on a very important issue - climate change.
- You will have many opportunities to connect with researchers from Hohenheim / other universities and institutes / representatives from industry. This could be particularly interesting if you are looking for opportunities for theses or internships.
But we are also very interested in welcoming you to the symposium:
- The University of Hohenheim is internationally renowned for its outstanding research, particularly in the field of plant breeding. As Humboldt Reloaded students, you are conducting research at the forefront of current developments and thereby contributing to future knowledge and decision-making. A large proportion of the symposium participants are also former Hohenheim students. We are therefore very interested in exchanging ideas with you.
- Furthermore, we are particularly interested in your Humboldt Reloaded projects related to plant breeding and climate change. We would therefore like to invite one outstanding project to be presented as a poster at our symposium. We therefore encourage you to submit your abstract or completed poster. In addition, we will be attending the Humboldt Reloaded Annual Conference in person and look forward to meeting and talking with you.
